WORKS GREAT INSIDE, TOO…

Bought this for the mud room of our little bungalow in Rockport TX. Actually “sand” room is more realistic. Assembly is CERY straightforward; 7Seas includes the polyurethane glue and a cute little brush (!) Teak is pretty clear (ie without knots) but there is some sap-wood (light blonde streaks here and there). If using outside, these will likely fade to gray with the darker heartwood. For inside use, I sanded with 220 grit, used one coat of WATCO Danish oil, then blended-in the sapwood with a little Mission Brown aniline wood dye, then finished with a beeswax/kerosene paste (from my wife’s beehives!). I thought it would look Danish Modern, but it definitely looks Craftsman or Mission style… I have a great photo, but can’t see how to post it to this review. Overall, not a perfect bench, but then those cost $1500. Excellent bargain for the price, study, and very comfortable for a wood bench. Highly recommended.

It’s an attention getter.

We did experience a assembly problem but they helped us out.
After we had the bench set up we are now both happy with it.

We love our new teak bench.
The bench is the perfect size for our long but narrow balcony and I plan to buy some of the cute side tables to go along with the bench.

Excellent price and free shipping.

A 3 seater teak bench for under $600 is an excellent buy. You probably do volume otherwise you cannot offer this.
Here in Florida I would have paid double or triple if I would go to a designer store.
And there was no shipping cost! I feel we got very lucky.
