Should the bench be sealed after assembly and before placing outside? Do you recommend teak oil for outside teak furniture?
For teak furniture that will be outside, we do not recommend oiling your furniture with teak oil. This oil will attract dirt and can promote mildew growth.
After a couple of months, the teak will start turning a silvery grey. Just clean it with soapy water at least twice a year, or as needed, to keep your furniture looking good.
If you’d rather preserve its natural teak "brown" color, we recommend using Semco teak care and sealer products. Please refer to the manufacturer for instructions. Teak sealer goes on like a stain and helps retain the brown look, while adding some additional protection.

We do not manufacture a cushion for this bench.
